On any given day, Miami is chock-a-block with bruisers ready to start a brawl, so it makes sense the state-sanctioned mixed martial arts organization Revolution Fight Club is capitalizing on our pool of local talent. The group produces regularly scheduled professional MMA events and championship fights as well as live pay-per-view matches seen around the world. This Friday night, Revolution Fight Club presents Revolution Fighting Championships at the Olympia Theater in the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts. World karate champion and action-flick actor Tony Schiena along with Scarfaces Manolo himself, Steven Bauer will host the event.
And expect a guest appearance by UFC Brazilian mixed martial arts star Hermes Franca. The main event will be an MMA title bout between Eric Reynolds and Jose Figueroa. Tickets range from $40 to $200 for VIP seating and can be purchased at www.revolutionfightclub.com. There will also be an afterparty at Mansion on South Beach for those with VIP tickets. The action begins at 8
