UM Frat Has Members Arrested For Drug-Related Charges ...Again
Zeta Beta Tau's official song is "My Brother, Here is my Hand." The chapter at the University of Miami might as well amend it with "...it is full of drugs, so many, many drugs."
Today, the Coral Gables Police Department Vice Squad raided the historically Jewish fraternity's house on UM's campus as part of an ongoing investigation into the the sale of drugs. They ended up arresting two members.
In November 2007, three members of the same fraternity were arrested for burglary and felony battery after demanding drugs. From The Miami Hurricane:
The three are accused of beating up another UM student in his
condominium after they demanded drugs, police said. Authorities do not
know whether or not the three were under the influence of drugs or
alcohol at the time.
All three students in that case ended up getting off with probation .
