Halloween is that rare celebration that can be equally exciting for adults and kids. We think it's because of the costumes, which are fun for everyone. And then there are the treats, which only get better as you age. If you think the sugar rush from candy corn is a blast when you're 10 years old, just wait till you get trashed on appletinis as an grownup! If you want to get dressed up and hit the town with the fam, head out to Coral Gables for the tenth annual Halloween on the Mile. The event offers a safe place for trick-or-treating, as well as a costume contest, a scavenger hunt, and lots of ghoulish photo opportunities. For a dose of things that go bump in the night, venture out on Arch Creek's Ghost Tour. Meet at the Arch Creek Museum (1855 NE 135th St., North Miami) at 7:30 p.m., and a tour guide will introduce you to the spooky and mysterious history of the park and its paranormal reputation.
