Attention passengers. You’re normally allowed one carry-on
per flight. But Ultra Music Festival is going to go ahead and upgrade that to about
10.
No, we’re not actually flying anywhere, but Ultra is
spreading the love with their Carry On series of after parties throughout Miami
Music Week.
Festivities kick off as soon as Wednesday, so some of the “after
parties” actually occur before the festival proper. But we’re not physicists or
anything, so we’re just going to overlook whatever time-law is being broken
here.
Wednesday is your chance to catch the premiere of the Ultra
movie Can
U Feel It: The UMF Experience, but if you miss out, you can tune in to
Ultra’s official Sirius/XM live broadcast of BPM All Girls Sessions from 7 p.m.
to midnight. After the film and virtual spins, you can head over to MIA at
Biscayne for the Can U Feel It after party and rage until the sun comes up.
On Thursday, LIV teams up with the UMF crew to bring you Tiesto
with Cedric Gervais, as well as another after party ’till 6 a.m. at MIA
featuring sets from John O’Callaghan and more.
Friday is the first day of the festival, and if you can
manage to survive the avalanche of wide-eyed pedestrians in the streets around
midnight, you’ll have an array of official after parties to choose from. Head
over to Amnesia to catch Kaskade drop some serious electro, seek out the bass
with Dirty South and friends at Mansion, or get housey with Junior Sanchez and
more at MIA.
Saturday, the party continues at MIA with an after-hours set
from old school bad ass Felix Da Housecat, and things wind down Sunday with
Armin Van Buuren at Mansion or another official after party at MIA.
And come Monday, you’re not gonna be doing anything other than calling in sick for work and staying in bed with a bottle of 5-HTP. Good luck with that hangover.
