A sweet little nibble from this week's Cafe review:

Sugarcane's success all but screams at diners as they enter the voluminous space. It isn't just that the room is packed to the gills and very loud  (although this does always seem to be the case), but it exudes the big city allure of a long time landmark oyster bar and grill that might be situated in downtown New York, Boston, New Orleans...Not to overstate the distinctiveness of Sugarcane's vibe, but it's almost as though the buzz of the crowd can be decoded to declare: Miami has arrived! Or at the very least: Midtown Miami has arrived!
