Steven Bauer, the Cuban-American actor best known for his roles in Scarface and ¿Qué Pasa, USA? was arrested yesterday by Sweetwater police on a 12-year-old outstanding warrant.

Bauer, whose legal name is Steven Ernest Echevarria, was stopped for making an "improper left turn" in Sweetwater while driving his 2002 Nissan Altima. A pretty minor offense, and he would have gotten off with just a warning, but when police ran his license number they found outstanding warrant way back from 1999 for his arrest on charges of driving with a suspended license.

Bauer was arrested and taken to Miami-Dade jail.

Then the City of Sweetwater issued a press release about it, because, well, Sweetwater has a tendency to issue a press release on just about anything.
