Where’s the best place to catch a Foreigner? If you answered “border town,” that’s messed up. The correct answer is “casino,” namely the Seminole Hard Rock Live (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood) this Saturday. That’s where legendary rock group Foreigner will show you what love is by slapping your ass with a little nostalgia.
Undeniably the greatest rock group named Foreigner, the band is on the casino circuit promoting the upcoming release of its box set, The Complete Atlantic Studio Albums 1977-1991. Whether you saw them live in the late ’70s or caught them on tour with Styxx earlier this year, it always “Feels Like the First Time” because Foreigner founder Mick Jones is the only original member left. He can’t believe it.
“When I was in my 20s, if you told me I’d still be playing as I approached 70, I wouldn’t have believed you,” Jones told the UK’s Daily Record earlier this year. “You get to this point, as long as you are having a good time and digging it every night and giving everything you have, then it keeps you really young.”
Tickets cost $49 to $69 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.
