The Rising Son and Star Sisters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the human growth and development of children, will host the Sounds of Kwanzaa at the African Heritage Cultural Center (6161 NW 22nd Ave., Miami). This Sunday, on day four of Kwanzaa, music and dancing will combine to honor the African diaspora with music by Groove Percussion and Anadantz Entertainment. Attendees can also take part in workshops on music and the entertainment industry, as well as an artist talk for both kids and adults. And in the spirit of Kwanzaa’s fourth principle, ujamaa (cooperative economics), guests are invited to bring a covered dish to share at the event and nonperishable food items for those in need.
