Either way, Variety reports this afternoon that Miami's most famous retired old ladies who talk about sex all the time are soon to be recast as Istanbul's most famous sex-crazied old women.

Disney apparently has signed a deal with a Turkish broadcaster to remake 'Golden Girls' as a 13-part series for Turkish television.

Hulya Kocyigit stars as Dorothy, Nevra Serezli as Blanche, Fatma Girik as Sophia and the immortal Turkan Soray will take on Rose.

If anyone can send a bootleg Turkish television tape of this event to Riptide, we would be eternally grateful.
