84. Chicken Chili Con Queso at Deli Lane Cafe
There is kind of nothing more satisfying for brunch, dinner, or late night, whenever, than the Chicken Chili Con Queso at Deli Lane Cafe/Sunset Tavern. The two restaurants are attached, one more suited for day and the other for night, but the chili, it's hot and ready to eat anytime. The chicken is stewed, tasty, and tender. The cheese is always melted just right and the chips, they're crispy and the perfect shovel for getting the chili into one's mouth.
Owners Jahn Kirchoff and Mike Maler wanted to make a hearty soup to add to their menu. Their solution was to make an unconventional chili, so they switched out the beef for the poultry, and what a wise decision it was. It's one of the restaurant's best sellers and one of our favorites.
