For the less adventurous, the idea of roller skating in hot pants while loaded on bourbon could seem like a harrowing agenda. Especially for a Tuesday. But you aren’t one of those strait-laced types. You piss into the wind. You attend knife-sharpening parties where kegs and children are present. It’s maverick thrill-seekers like you who have kept Intoxiskate the must-do weekly party of the counterculture sect. Gay Skate Tuesdays have been a Gold Coast staple for more than four decades, but it wasn’t until a few years back that the full bar was added — giving the evenings a drunken face-lift. As Intoxiskate, LGBT night has become the fastest, most precarious, hair-holding, waiver-signing rager for every thrill-seeker from the 305 to the 561. Of course, you probably already know that. Why else would the back of your hot pants read “SK8ER”?
Tuesdays. Starts: Feb. 8. Continues through March 1, 2011
