September might not bring crisp fall weather to Miami, but it definitely kicked off a new season of excitement in the city’s dining scene. Last month was filled with openings that felt like a world tour of flavors. Amazónico brought its bold, Brazilian-inspired, three-story experience to Brickell, complete with live music, DJs, and tropical vibes, while Maman debuted in Aventura with its charming Paris-meets-Provence pastries and brunch staples. Over in Doral, Panama’s Nacionsushi made its U.S. debut with colorful, eclectic rolls and playful bites, while TikTok-famous Naughty Coffee opened downtown, transitioning from trucks to a full café offering matcha, espresso drinks, and brunchy plates.
Wynwood has its own splashy newcomer with Pari Pari, a handroll bar led by Michelin-recognized chef Yasuhiro “Yasu” Tanaka, where guests can sit at a 24-seat counter for fresh, crisp rolls, such as wagyu aburi and toro caviar. And Pinecrest finally welcomed its first wine bar, Rainy Days, from the Brewing Buddha team, offering wine, sangrias, sake cocktails, and tapas in a cozy neighborhood setting. Even though it’s still 80 degrees and humid, September still came through with a stacked lineup of openings that are giving us all the flavor, variety, and vibes we need to kick off the season in the best way possible.
