Miami Dolphins @ Kansas City Chiefs, 1pm Sunday on CBS
Riptide is getting a weird sense of paramnesia about the current
situation of your Miami Dolphins football team. Probably because it is
eerily similar to the plight of you Miami Hurricanes just weeks ago.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If Miami New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
Remember? The Canes were in first place in their division, and with
only two away games left to go (one a bit of a challenge, one that
should be relatively easy) they controlled their own destiny. Whoops,
they lost both and we were very upset.
No here’s the Fins, in
first place in their division with only two away games to go (one
relatively easy, one a big challenge — in reverse order), and they
control their own post-season destiny. Will the Fins repeat the fate of
their fellow Dolphins Stadium dwellers?
They are playing
against the lowly Kansas City Chiefs who are 2-12 this year (horrible,
but still better than us last year!). The fins have been doing well
late in the season against teams with loosing records, but those point
spreads are always slim. Reflecting that, odds makers have them as the
narrow favorites.
