Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
This year’s election will transform life in Florida and across the nation in myriad ways. That’s why our writers have been working so hard on so many fronts to bring you the independent, eye-opening coverage you expect from New Times.
Here’s a small sampling of our wide-ranging coverage to date:
- Numerous stories clarifying complex issues on this year’s ballot, from a general voter’s guide to a map of early voting locations to an Amendment 4 explainer (and a bonus bullshit detector!)
- A story that outed a Miami GOP Executive Committee member as a former Proud Boy
- A look at how far-right Moms for Liberty candidates fared in Broward school board races
- Local reactions to baseless claims of pet-eating Hatian immigrants
(And that’s not counting our debate drinking games or our exposé on Matt Gaetz’s face!)
We’re committed to doing much more, before and after November 5, but we need your help. We hope to raise $3,250 in our membership drive this election cycle,. By becoming a member, you help ensure we have the resources to keep producing independent journalism that produces the stories you won’t find anywhere else.
Will you become a member today?
