The Brickell hot girl walk is postponed until further notice, and the girlies are fuming, perhaps rightfully so.

Brickell Key's highly popular baywalk is now closed to the public for the foreseeable future because of the ongoing construction at the Mandarin Oriental and the repairs of the Brickell Key Bridge. Island residents, however, will still have access to the baywalk through condominium private entry points, the Brickell Key Master Association (BKMA) says.

"This is a temporary measure designed to reduce congestion and ensure that our community remains a safe and enjoyable place for everyone," the BKMA email reads. "The BKMA team will continue to monitor pedestrian activity and make adjustments as needed.

But for the girlies, who like to, post-workout, sip on their afternoon matcha as they stroll along the bridge's manicured sidewalks in the season's latest Alo Yoga sets, this is Armageddon.

Many have now taken to TikTok to mourn the temporary loss of their favorite walking path.

One video, recording the island closure and ongoing construction, reads, "They can take Brickell Key away from the girls, but they can't take the girls away from Brickell Key." The video is set to Lana Del Rey’s "Mariners Apartment Complex," with the lyrics “They mistook my kindness for weakness. I fucked up, I know that, but Jesus” capturing its raw emotion and melancholy.

"This construction hurts more than a heartbreak tbh 💔," the caption reads.

One user paid tribute with a photo of the construction fence and closure sign with James Blunt's "Goodbye My Lover."

"Heartbroken no further words on the matter," the user wrote in the caption.

One girl says her soul hurts now that the walkway is closed to the public.

"Brickell Key walks are good for the soul," she wrote.

The girlies are now desperate to know where they should walk amid the closure.

"To all my girls that take hot girl walks around Brickell Key, where are we walking now that is closed?" another user asked in a recent TikTok. "Those of you who don't know they closed the Brickell Key walkway and it will probably remain closed either through December 25 or January of 2026. So now where are we walking?

The closure comes as the City of Miami repairs the 52-year-old bridge that connects the mainland to the island. The construction project, expected to be completed in late December 2025 or early 2026, will include bridge deck repairs, sidewalk widening, restoration of damaged concrete, and seawall repair. The three-phase project is estimated to cost $10 million.
