Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival Will Return in 2026

After being notably absent during the 2024 and 2025 music festival seasons, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival has announced it will return in 2026 — March 19-22, to be exact — at its longtime home at Sunshine Grove, just north of Lake Okeechobee.

"It's a privilege to be curating OMF's ten-year reunion since our first festival in March 2016," said Rechulski, festival founder and chairman of Soundslinger, in a statement. "OMF has always been about more than just music — it's a celebration of creative expression in all its forms, providing a safe space for the freaks that we all are. OMF is an event where art for all senses occurs."

Acts for the 2026 edition have not been announced, but the festival promises to return to its original multigenre format, with artists from electronic, rock, hip-hop, indie, and more. With Ben Baruch and Dave Niedbalski returning as the festival's bookers, it should be exciting to see who ends up on the bill.

The inaugural Okeechobee took place in 2016, with Skrillex, Kendrick Lamar, Mumford & Sons, Bassnectar, Robert Plant, and Odesza among the headliners. It returned in 2017 and 2018 before canceling the 2019 edition. It returned in 2020 under the stewardship of Insomniac, the event promoter best known for the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) festivals in Las Vegas and Orlando. It was one of the last few music festivals to take place before the pandemic sent the world into lockdown. It resumed operations for the 2022 and 2023 festival seasons before quietly disappearing again in 2024.

It seems like Insomniac is no longer involved with Okeechobee; instead, the original Soundslinger crew has once again taken control. When New Times requested clarification, a representative responded, "OMF 2026 is being produced and promoted by Soundslinger, an independent live event company."

With Okeechobee again taking place at Sunshine Grove, expect the four-day festival to be a campers' paradise. There is little in the way of hotels and short-term accommodations in Okeechobee County.

If you are a festival veteran, there will be a new campground option available for you, the Okee OG Campground, located in proximity to the venue and available for purchase during the presale.

The presale will happen in waves, with the "Loyalty" presale for OMF alumni starting on Wednesday, April 16, at 10 a.m. The "Priority" presale begins Thursday, April 17, at 10 a.m., followed by a general presale at noon.
