That is one retail rivalry that will never be put to rest. But how does Microsoft win over its customers?
By celebrating the grand opening of its eighth Florida store with a free ticket giveaway to see Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, live in concert.

The Aventura Mall location opens its doors to the public at 10:30 a.m. on May 29, welcoming Macklemore’s Microsoft’s number-one fans and inviting them to check out its collection of sleek laptops, Surface tablets, and Windows phones.
However, in order to see the rapper dressed in military glam, with green gator shoes and a leopard mink, you’ll have to be among the first 1,375 people waiting in line when the store makes its debut on that Thursday morning.
If you’re one of the lucky thousands, your new fave tech store will hook up a pair of tix to see Macklemore & Ryan Lewis throw it down in the mall’s Surface Parking Lot near Macy’s at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31.
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has revved up its hip game, though. Last May, the retailer offered its loyal customers free tickets to see Gym Class Heroes tear up the stage at the Fillmore Miami Beach when the company opened a store in Dadeland Mall.
But if you wanna go thrift tech shopping with Macklemore, bring out your velour jumpsuit and house slippers, get your ass up, and go wait in line.
