Let's set fire to 2024, shall we? Nothing is more American than fireworks, and there is no better way to ring in the new year than with a full-on, lit-up shebang.

South Florida has several options for fireworks shows on New Year's Eve, including big-time spectacles sanctioned by Miami and Miami Beach, a gala-like celebration at the Biltmore in Coral Gables, and a coastal chic affair in Coconut Grove.

Rather than hearing those fireworks boom in the distance this year, here are the best New Year's Eve 2025 fireworks displays in Miami.

For more New Year's Eve coverage, check out New Times' guides to the best parties and special dinners.

Coconut Grove

Regatta Grove, Coconut Grove's outdoor gathering spot, will come alive on New Year's Eve with live music, three large bars serving wine and beer, and its culinary outposts firing on all cylinders. If you haven't been just yet, the food options include chef Jeremy Ford's JJ's Guilty Pleasures and the Piefather from José Mendin. The event promises a high-energy countdown at midnight with accompanying fireworks. You'll want to dress the part as the party will take on a coastal chic flair. 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Regatta Grove, 3415 Pan American Dr., Coconut Grove; regattagrove.com. Tickets cost $40 to $3,000 via eventbrite.com.

Coral Gables

Even if you have experienced the lights at NightGarden at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, the magic takes another level on New Year's Eve. In addition to the illuminated fairyland, a fireworks display at 9 p.m. is happening on December 31. If you haven't checked out NightGarden, the experience wraps up on January 12. 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd., Coral Gables; thenightgarden.com. Tickets cost $40 to $45 via feverup.com.

Over at the Biltmore, the historic Coral Gables hotel is throwing a party with plenty of desserts and a premium open bar. And, yes, there will be a fireworks show over the golf course at midnight. Tip for the money savers: If you'd rather experience the fireworks for free, you can find a spot near the golf course and watch the fireworks from your car. 10 p.m. Tuesday, the Biltmore, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables; biltmorehotel.com. Tickets cost $200 via eventbrite.com.

Downtown Miami

In what's often considered the city's front yard, Bayfront Park's end-of-the-year celebration has it all: live music, the Big Orange, and, of course, fireworks. The party starts at 6 p.m., and you'll want to arrive early to claim a good spot. More than two dozen performers, including headliners Gente de Zona, Chyno y Nacho, Arturo Sandoval, and Willy Chirino, will entertain the crowd. For $165, you can enjoy the VIP experience, which includes an open bar from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., a complimentary Champagne toast, and unlimited grub. 6 p.m. Tuesday, at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami; miaminye2025.com.Admission is free; VIP tickets cost $165 via eventbrite.com.

Fort Lauderdale

The annual Fort Lauderdale Orange Bowl Downtown Countdown is more than just a fireworks display — it's a full-on street party in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Starting at 4:30 p.m., you can bring the whole family and enjoy live entertainment, family activities, a countdown, and more. Food and drink vendors will also be present, making sure you begin 2025 more than satisfied. 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, at SW Second Street and Fifth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale; parks.fortlauderdale.gov/nye. Admission is free.

Miami Beach

The first of two big public fireworks displays in Miami Beach will be soundtracked by Orchestra Miami, performing alongside Negroni's Trio and Marinel Cruz. Free and open to the public, VIP packages are available starting at $120, including a prosecco toast at midnight, premium seating, and unlimited wine and snacks. 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Collins Park, 2100 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; orchestramiami.org. Admission is free; VIP tickets cost $120.

For the second option, head to Lummus Park around midnight, look up, and prepare to be amazed. The City of Miami Beach's shindig always dazzles beachside — and it's totally free. To make things easier to navigate, Ocean Drive will be closed from Friday, December 27, through Wednesday, January 1. Arrive early and grab a space at the park or a nearby restaurant or bar. Midnight, at Lummus Park, 1130 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach; miamibeachfl.gov. Admission is free.
