Northern Lights: Here Are the Best Photos Captured Around Florida

After weeks of back-to-back rainstorms, Floridians were treated to a rare celestial surprise last night.

After several weeks of back-to-back storms, Floridians were treated to a rare celestial surprise last night.

Thanks to a severe geomagnetic storm, the Aurora Borealis (better known as Northern Lights) was visible across much of the United States, dazzling a large swath of the nation with a display of pink, purple, and green skies. While the lights were mostly visible in parts of the northern U.S., they could be seen as far south as Florida, including the Keys, Tallahassee, and other parts of the state.
