Nu Deco Ensemble at The Citadel
The Miami-based Nu Deco Ensemble made its name blending symphonic instrumentation with contemporary genres. For its Underground Symphony, the ensemble is partnering with DJ/producer Sinego, who’s best known for merging Latin rhythms with dance-floor beats. The show is standing-room only, beginning with a DJ set from 8 to 9 p.m., followed by the live performance from 9 to 10:30 p.m. For fans of orchestral crossovers (see: Rosalia’s newly-released album Lux), this experience meets right in the middle. 8 p.m. at The Citadel, 8300 NE Second Ave., Miami; 305-908-3849. Downtown Doral Arts Festival
Smack dab in the center of its ever-evolving namesake city, the two-day Downtown Doral Arts Festival is fit for the whole family (and, yes, that includes pets, too). You’ll stroll through exhibits featuring work from more than 60 artists, enjoy live art activations, and explore a mix of local restaurants, bars, and shops. Best of all? The event is free, making it the perfect opportunity to mix and mingle with the surrounding community. 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Downtown Doral, NW 53rd St., Doral. Admission is free.

Seether and Daughtry at FTL War Memorial Auditorium
Co-headliners Seether and Daughtry wrap their 24-city 2025 U.S. tour in Fort Lauderdale Saturday night. Seether’s ninth studio album, The Surface Seems So Far, was released last September, as was Daughtry’s, Shock to the System (Part One). The bands are touring in support of those respective projects, and Daughtry is promoting its latest single “The Day I Die,” released back in May. Jo Koy at the Kaseya Center
Headlining arenas as a comedian is rarefied air, but American comedian and actor Jo Koy has achieved just that. You might know him best as a frequent panelist on E!’s former late-night show, Chelsea Lately, from his six comedy specials on Comedy Central and Netflix, or from an off night as host of the 81st Golden Globe Awards. But Koy made his bones on the road, a career spanning more than three decades. The city’s annual literary celebration brings more than 500 authors and a weekend-long street fair packed with dozens of exhibitors to downtown Miami each year, with readings, panels, and live performances in the mix. It was a long five years in between Playboi Carti’s second album, Whole Lotta Red, and his latest, Music, released in March. The anticipated album marked a stylistic shift for the rapper and became his second to top the Billboard 200 charts.
