BarBattle TV at Mezcalista

BarBattleTV is back for its sixth episode, and this time the series is popping up at Mezcalista at the Moxy Miami South Beach. This time around, Gramps bartender Juliette Saputo will go head-to-head with Primo Liquors’ Alyssa Champion. Beatcamp Liquid Drum & Bass at Coyo Taco Coral Gables

If you feel a rumbling sensation along Giralda Avenue on Thursday night, fret not. It’s just the bimonthly Beatcamp Liquid Drum & Bass party shaking things up at Coyo Taco Coral Gables. Lemon City Trio at Focal Brewing Company

Guitarist Nick Tanner, keyboardist Brian Robertson, and drummer Aaron Glueckauf make up the soul and funk outfit Lemon City Trio. The group has plenty of experience in the Miami music scene – Tanner was part of Politix and Robertson is formerly of ANR – so its music can help but find inspiration from the 305. (Lemon City refers to the Upper Eastside neighborhood that makes up part of present-day Little Haiti.) Veza Sur Four-Year Cumpleaños Block Party

If you come from a big Latin family, you know how big birthday parties can get, especially for the little ones. The kid may have gone to bed at 7 p.m., but the party keeps going well beyond 2 a.m. On Saturday, Veza Sur Brewing will be the pequeñito turning four, and it’s celebrating with one big block party. DJs Wasabi, Ill-set, and Ka5 will be spinning while Wolf of Tacos, Apocalypse BBQ, and Night Owl Cookies will be serving bites. Also, be there for the special release of the Mezcalito, a Belgian strong ale aged in mezcal barrels. Miami Design District Public Art Tour

Luxury brands like Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci all call Miami’s Design District home, but that might be the least interesting part of the neighborhood. The area is littered with public art sculptures and installations. On Saturday, join the public art tour to familiarize yourself with them. Motion Picture Soundtrack: Aphex Twins Peak at Space Park

Who killed Laura Palmer? Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet, you’ll have the chance when David Lynch’s classic, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, screens at Space Park – with a bit of a twist. The venue’s Motion Picture Soundtrack series see popular films being re-scored with new music. Ordinary Boys at Gramps

Despite what Gen Z thinks, it did not invent the “sad boy” phenomenon. Morrissey was doing the “sad boy” thing way before the entire generation was born.
