Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
In case you’ve been wondering, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is still as bizarre as ever and chronicling it all on Twitter. In his latest escapade, Johnson befriended a homeless man named “Porkchop” this weekend, gave him a makeover, and then took him out clubbing in South Beach.
The adventure began when Porkchop asked Johnson to buy him a beer. Johnson responded by buying him an entire case plus a pack of Newports.
Johnson then gifted Porkchop a G-shock watch and took him for a makeover at Urban Outfitters off Collins.
The two then went clubbing at either Dream or Cameo, but the details from Johnson’s Twitter feed are a bit sketchy. However, by the end of the night, Johnson had actual business on his mind.
The party didn’t stop there. The next day, Ocho and Porkchop hit up the Clevelander and Mangos on Ocean Drive.
Johnson also mentioned wanting to take Porkchop to strip clubs Tootsie’s and King of Diamonds, but it’s not clear if they actually made it.
Johnson claims this isn’t a stunt — he wants to help Porkchop in the long run.
