Free Events This Week in Miami: Macklemore, Pitbull, and New Year’s Eve

If you’re one of the lucky Miamians still flush with funds after the financial nightmare known as Christmas, good for you – have fun at the Drake concert. If you’re one of us average broke kids trying to have a kick-ass week and even better New Year’s Eve, this is the place for you. We’ve hunted down the best end-of-year events around the city that won’t deplete your budget. In fact, all the fun here is free of charge. We’ll drink to that. 

Monday

• The Santa Clause at Shore Club: Catch the Tim Allen Christmas classic as you lounge by the pool. 

Tuesday

• Live at the Yard at Wynwood Yard: Catch Jacob Jeffries and an opening set by Yoli Mayor with a tribute to vocalists like Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Nina Simone and enjoy fresh-brewed coffee by Vice City Bean and 3:05 Cafecito.
• Free Yoga at Peacock Park: Relax and get stretched for New Year’s Eve with an outdoor class by Dharma Studio. 

Wednesday

• Imagine Dragons and Macklemore at Lummus Park: This free concert hosted by Capital One closes with a fireworks show at 10:30 p.m.
• The Simpsons Movie at SoundScape: Don’t miss the 2007 film featuring America’s favorite animated family. 

Thursday

• Pitbull’s New Year’s Eve Revolution at Bayfront Park: Join Mr. Worldwide, plus Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Prince Royce, Austin Mahone, R. City, Pia Mia, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
• New Year’s Party at the Mighty: Enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, plus $2 drink specials, Goody-Bag Giveaways and a festive NYE photobooth backdrop.
• New Year’s Eve Garden Party at Lagniappe: Booze it up under the twinkle lights to the sounds of the Big City Blues Band.
