Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Easter and 4/20 have come and gone, leaving you bereft of both bud and Cadbury Cream Eggs. Post-holiday letdown times two. But there’s still Earth Day to look forward to, and doesn’t our devoted Mother Earth deserve a little love?
There are lots of eco-friendly, free ways to enjoy yourself for the next five days. Kumbaya and all that jazz.
Tuesday
- Skinny Tuesday Run at Trinity Cathedral Miami: Even if you only run when chased by zombies, you’ll feel right at home in this gently-paced group. Walking is also an option.
- Earth Day volunteering at Arch Creek Park: Show Mother Earth a little bit of love and help prep for native planting with fellow do-gooders.
- Earth Day grand opening of Choices Kitchen: The vegan eatery’s newest outpost is now open near the airport, and you’re invited to get in on the cruelty-free love. First 50 folks get a free tote bag. Score!
Thursday
- Grove Green Market in the Coconut Grove Playhouse parking lot: The last market of the season — proof that summer is nipping at our heels. Listen to tunes by Johnny Dread and scoop up some impressive produce and locally made eats. Don’t forget the emu eggs.
