The project is being backed by a $54 million construction loan from Ocean Bank. While construction timelines haven't been made public, the deal marks a major step forward for the site, which has long been poised for redevelopment. The property is tied to developer Russell Galbut of Crescent Heights and Marisa Galbut of GFO Investments, both of whom are known for reshaping the Miami Beach landscape.
With the original Whole Foods farther south on Alton and a Trader Joe's just down the road, this new store adds to what's quickly becoming the city's go-to corridor for groceries. And now, parking.

As with typical Whole Foods outposts, products usually must meet Whole Foods’ strict ingredient standards, which ban hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup, and hundreds of synthetic additives. Normally, Prime members can receive exclusive weekly deals and can check out using Amazon One, the retailer’s palm-based payment system.
