A 71-year-old man's quest to get jiggy with it took a hard left after a woman he met at a Hialeah sex shop lured him to an hourly motel and, after an "encounter," stripped him of his phone, wallet, and Rolex, police said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) deputies arrested Johnnika Alexander, 28, of Corona, California, on two felonies Tuesday and charged her with armed robbery with a weapon and battery of an elderly person, a redacted MDSO arrest report said.

The senior citizen was perusing the Caliente Adult Superstore in Hialeah around 10 p.m. on March 5, when Alexander caught his eye. (Caliente was named New Times' 2024 Best Adult Store, as it has "all the supplies you need to up your A-game in the B-room.")

Police said the man recalled watching Alexander roll up to the store with another person in a Mercedes-Benz sedan. Alexander “approached (him) and offered to have a sexual encounter with him and invited him to her hotel room," the police report states.

Minutes later, Alexander was driving papi's whip to the hotel, an exclusive establishment with accomodations featuring dance poles and colorful LED lights. Rooms at Motel X, off NW 27th Avenue, start at $40 for four hours and are "designed to be the perfect escape from routine," its website (click at your own risk) says.

After the tryst, the only thing swinging were moods. Near the end of the encounter, Alexander allegedly robbed the victim of his watch after a struggle, then pepper-sprayed him, stole his phone and wallet, and fled after discarding the phone and wallet in the parking lot.

Detectives collected evidence and followed the panties. Video footage taken from Caliente showed Alexander buying a pair of “black undergarments,” the report said. "The footage also captures [Alexander's] clothing and tattoos on her shoulder which were consistent with the Motel X surveillance footage."

According to the arrest report, MDSO deputies, who investigated because the crime allegedly occurred at a Motel X located in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, located Alexander at the Kompose Boutique Hotel Miami Airport on March 25 and arrested her on charges of armed robbery and battery on a person 65 or older.

After being read her rights, Alexander "admitted to meeting with the victim, accompanying him to the hotel room, and pepper spraying him, but denied taking his watch," police said. The watch was a "gold presidential Rolex." Though no estimated value was given, Rolex sells a similar watch for $43,000.

A records check by police showed Alexander had prior arrests, but did not state the charges. The Corona, California police department's spokesperson did not return New Times' email seeking comment.

Alexander was being held without bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, and has pleaded not guilty. At a "modification of bail" hearing Monday afternoon, County Judge Richard Hersch set Alexander's bond at $50,000.

As for the gold presidential Rolex? It’s gone, like the romance after the pepper spray.
