Miamians have a remarkable ability to find solutions to everyday problems.

Take, for instance, the Brazilian butt lift (BBL) chair.

Listed on Facebook Marketplace this week alongside photos of a young woman cheesing while seated in what appears to be a souped-up lawn chair with a large hole where one's buttocks would normally go, the "Silla para BBL" (English translaion: "Chair for BBL") is available to rent for $20 a day.

The condition of the rentable item, which is conveniently located near the Miami International Airport (MIA), is listed as "Used – Like New."

"BBL chair rental $20/day. We do delivery, if you are interested my number is [redacted]," the post reads.

Some locals were puzzled by the listing — "Is this actually a thing?" one person innocently inquired in a comments thread about the chair on Reddit — but it would appear there's a growing demand for this type of practical furniture in Miami, widely recognized as the U.S. capital of the BBL.

A handful of Facebook Marketplace listings around the 305 showcase so-called BBL chairs for sale or rent in various colors, shapes, and styles. One swanky-looking chair in Hialeah is listed for sale for $100, while a more bare-bones version is listed for rent for $15 a day.

Although each chair is seemingly unique in its own way, they all share one striking characteristic: a large hole or butt-shaped indentation smack-dab in the middle of the seat.

Recommended by some plastic surgeons for use after the intricate procedure — wherein a doctor sucks fat from various parts of the body part and injects it into the buttocks, creating the appearance of a snatched waist and voluptuous posterior — the chairs are said to help to relieve pressure on patients' butts and allow them to comfortably sit post-BBL.

As previously reported by New Times, Miami is a go-to destination for BBLs, which went mainstream in the past decade thanks to celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B.

But while the procedure has been cited in dozens of deaths worldwide, earning it the title "the deadliest of plastic surgeries" — more than 20 South Florida patients died of complications from Brazilian butt lifts over a ten-year period — that hasn't stopped it from ballooning in popularity.

Miami, in particular, has emerged as America's epicenter of the BBL, attracting people from around the globe who are lured by cut-rate prices, a plethora of plastic surgeons, and, as the New York Times Magazine recently noted, a robust network of post-op recovery houses.
