Dan Sileo is a former Miami Hurricanes linebacker and now he's a former WMEN 640 AM radio host. After the FSU game Sileo tweeted out that he'd pay $1,000 to any Miami Hurricanes player who took out Devonta Freeman with an injury during the possible rematch between the two teams in the ACC title game. This morning WMEN announced he was no longer with the station.
Here's the offending tweet, which has since been deleted:
And here's the statement from WMEN:
"As a result of Dan Sileo's action on his personal Twitter account on Nov. 3, 2013, WMEN has terminated his independent contractor relationship with the station. The ownership, staff and management of WMEN 640 sports do not condone his actions which have no place in sports."
And here's Sileo's response:
I understand my comment was OVER the TOP and 640 is right to protect there station...GREAT SUCCESS to them...But I felt the FSU PLAYER

Sileo also claims he's been getting death threats, the school pressured the station to fire him, and that he is now in hiding and has hired personal security.
