Pitbull Hopes to Throw the Best New Year's Eve Party Miami's Ever Seen

The one thing Pitbull loves more than mamis, “Culo,” y “Calle Ocho” is New Year's Eve.

Last year, dat chico Pit celebrated el Año Nuevo at the Thompson Hotel in Miami Beach with Pitbull's New Year's Eve Revolution – which was televised nationally on Fox. He later ended la noche with a free show con la gente de Miami y la gran naranja at Bayfront Park.

“Miami, being a major metropolitan city, really doesn’t have a definitive New Year's Eve event,” points out Chris Corey, the man organizing the bash, who's also a partner at Trimention Global Communications.

“Pitbull, being the brand ambassador of Miami, last year got a group together and said, 'Hey guys, let's put something together.' It was super-last-minute, but Fox got involved, and it went nationwide.”

This year, though, Armando Christian Pérez is giving the 305 his everything and turning his NYE pachanga into a two-day fiesta for the Norwegian Worldwide Food & Wine Party, which will be televised live once again on FOX.

Going down December 30 and 31 at Bayfront Park, the party – which will place New Times as the party and entertainment curators – will feature tasty food and wine from Bavaria Haus, el Mercado de San Miguel, and the Miami Culinary Institute. There will also be a VIP section, which Corey says will feel “like walking onto a Norwegian cruise ship.”

The 48-hour rager will top off on December 31 with Pitbull and other cantantes — who have yet to be revealed — ringing in 2016. While the countdown is free and open to the public, Food & Wine Party ticket holders will get first dibs on seating at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater.

“We just want to see the event become Times Square,” beams Corey. “That's what we're going for. It might take ten years, but we want to see Miami move in that direction.”

So if you wanna party it up with Pitbull and 10,000 of his closest bros this NYE, hit up your peeps y ¡daleee!
