Alanis Morissette, Garbage, and Cat Power make quite the alternative-rock trio, and they are headed out on tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Morrissette’s landmark album, Jagged Little Pill. DJ Nyack at the Eagle Room
SÁ£o Paulo native DJ Nyack is spinning at intimate the new Miami Beach hot spot the Eagle Room (located above 27 Restaurant) on Thursday night. Part of Sin Salida, a new concept from record label Concreta Sala, the series celebrates dance-music artists who specialize in eclectic sounds – and that’s what Nyack is all about. Lolita Flores at the Fillmore Miami Beach
Spanish singer Lolita Flores will celebrate her storied career on Friday night with a concert at the Fillmore in Miami Beach. Since her breakthrough 1975 album Amor, Amor, and hit single of the same name, Flores has continued her music-making career, alongside celebrated forays into film, theatre, and television. Friday’s concert marks a short break from her touring production of Take Me to Heaven, a play in which she stars and also produces. John Summit at Club Space
With noteworthy collaborations with Lee Foss and Nic Fanciulli under his belt, house-music producer John Summit shows no sign of slowing down, following up his track “Deep End,” which hit number one on Beatport, with wildly popular releases on labels like D4 D4nce and Repopulate Mars. Summit will sping at the now cigarette-free Club Space on Friday, delivering the classic-house sound that he’s known for. Klass at Little Haiti Cultural Complex
Head to the Little Haiti Cultural Complex for a dose of new-school kompa courtesy of the seven-piece, Miami-based outfit Klass. For the last nine years, the band has kept fans moving with high-energy dance releases like “M’ap Marye” and the album Ret Nan Liy Ou, which dropped last year. Kai Alcé at ATV Records
