Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne has announced she's extending her successful Greatest Hits Tour with 19 new dates in 2025. The tour will make its way down to South Florida on June 21, 2025, at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood. Canadian pop-punk band Simple Plan will serve as openers.

The Greatest Hit Tour kicked off earlier this year in Vancouver and has since traveled throughout North America and Europe.

Lavigne first broke through at a very opportune time. Released in 2002, her debut single, "Complicated," was released at a time when the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson were at their peak. Sure, many young girls gravitated toward the Max Martin-produced pop of the early 2000s, but there was a whole subculture of Hot Topic-wearing girls who didn't see themselves represented.

Make no mistake, Lavigne has always been "pop," but it was filtered through a veneer of rebellion and mall-punk attitude. Audiences responded in kind, giving the singer a string of hit singles, including "Sk8er Boi," "I'm With You," "My Happy Ending," and "Girlfriend."

And even if Lavigne was never a bastion of punk music, she served as a gateway for listeners to explore their musical tastes beyond commercial pop music.

Tickets for Lavigne's 2025 dates go on sale Friday, December 6, at 10 a.m., with an artist presale beginning on Tuesday, December 3, at 10 a.m.
