Miami’s acclaimed Vietnamese-Latin fusion restaurant has officially opened its second outpost in a new Miami neighborhood, and people are already loving it. Phuc Yea has just joined the culinary lineup at Regatta Grove overlooking Biscayne Bay, marking the first endeavor for Phuc Yea outside of its original location.
Helmed by chef Cesar Zapata and restaurateur Ani Meinhold, Phuc Yea has just unveiled a new iteration of its signature high-energy brand of modern Vietnamese cuisine. The new concession-style outpost is designed to complement the venue’s open-air style and social gathering atmosphere.
“We’re honored to join the Regatta Grove lineup and to be surrounded by some of the best chefs in Miami and in the country,” says Chef Zapata. “Ani and I have a deep respect for Grove Bay and Breakwater Hospitality Group, groups we’ve admired for years, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate. Bringing a little bit of Phuc Yea to Coconut Grove feels right, and we’re excited to share our flavors, our story, and the energy that defines us. We look forward to building more partnerships together in the future.”
Tiny But Mighty in the Grove
Although this is a smaller menu than its original, guests will still enjoy Phuc Yea’s signature dishes, such as the bao buns or the sweet Vietnamese Affogato.
Fan-favorite snacks making the menu include edamame hummus, served with raw vegetables and lemongrass chili oil; the shrimp summer rolls, paired with sweet chili peanut sauce or sriracha mayo; a smashed cucumber salad, featuring Szechuan peppercorn and sesame; and a watermelon salad, dressed with lemongrass chili oil and Vietnamese ponzu.

Growing a Fanbase Since 2011
Since its 2011 opening as a pop-up, Phuc Yea has expanded to its flagship restaurant in MiMo, earning New Times’ Best Restaurant in MiMo/Little River 2024. The restaurant has gained a cult following for its flavorful cuisine, street-food edge, and modern interpretation of Vietnamese comfort classics. It has been recognized as a four-time Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Phuc Yea to Regatta Grove,” say restaurateurs Francesco Balli and Ignacio García-Menocal, the co-founders and CEOs behind Grove Bay Hospitality Group. “Cesar and Ani are super talented, and we’ve admired them for years. We’ve wanted to collaborate with them for a long time. Bringing their wildly popular and truly one-of-a-kind concept to Coconut Grove felt like the perfect next fit – not just for the neighborhood, but for all of us who have watched their creativity and passion inspire Miami’s dining scene.”
Phuc Yea joins Regatta Grove’s local culinary lineup, which includes JJ’s (Guilty Pleasures) by Chef Jeremy Ford, the Piefather by Chef Jose Mendin, House of Birds & Drop Biscuits by Chef Kenny Gilbert, and Tackle Box by Chef Jeff McInnis.
