Best of Miami® 2026

Hey Miami, do you know your big three?

I’m a III Points sun, The Corner moon, Croissan'Time rising. That means I made music my personality, drink my feelings in a dark room with weird creatures, and wear my love of Broward (and pastries) on my sleeve.

What the fuck am I talking about? Well, it’s the solar return of Miami New Times’ Best Of edition, which means we’ve called upon our seers (writers) to divine (highlight) the brightest stars of the city across the four ancient pillars of culture and community: Arts & Entertainment, Sports & Recreation, Shopping & Services, and Eat & Drink.

It's not a bunch of brujaja. South Florida is a rising star on the national scene, and it’s our duty as scenesters and shamans to guide transplants and tourists to the best this city has to offer. Even the most local among us can discover something magical within these hallowed blurbs

Maybe Kendall is in your Fourth House of Home and Family, and your 10th House of Career takes you to Brickell every day. It’s easy to get stuck in a ritual rut, eating and drinking and playing in the same circles day in and night out. Think of this Best Of issue as your star chart to the Miami sky.

The prognosis is good! Las Rosas, Churchill’s and Pizza Tropical have emerged from their retrograde; Betty Osceola, Mel De Miami and Eileen Higgins formed a stellium in the streets for positive change; and while pickleball and padel are still in a square, UM’s basketball team really turned things around.

You don’t need to know what time you were born to get the most out of this reading. Con mucho, mucho amor…
