Another day, another Marlins merch drop. Days before Star Wars-themed fan jerseys take over Marlins Park on May the Fourth, the Miami Marlins have unveiled a new look for their players. The team's latest "City Connect 2.0" uniforms, part of a years-long collaboration between Major League Baseball and Nike, are meant to celebrate the city's cultural identity using "unique color schemes, typefaces, and graphic elements distinct from home and away uniforms."

The Marlins debuted their first "City Connect" uniforms in 2021 with jerseys paying homage to the Cuban Sugar Kings, a Cuban minor league team. This year, the teal and pink color scheme is reminiscent of the Miami Heat's popular Vice City uniforms, albeit with faint pinstripes on a black backdrop.
If you're feeling the look, you can get your own merch when "City Connect 2.0" jerseys, caps, and other merchandise go on sale at the Marlins Team Store at LoanDepot Park starting this Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. Marlins Members get priority access, with sales starting at 9 a.m.

The "305" baseball cap will surely be among the store's most popular items. In a statement announcing the merch drop, the Marlins said this is "the first time in MLB history a club has donned a city's area code on the hat."
