Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
This week, Miami’s lucky number is six.
Hot on the heels of the city’s ranking as America’s sixth trashiest Spring Break destination, Inside College has ranked the University of Miami at #6 on its list of “most fun” institutions of higher learning in the U.S. — beating out every other Florida school on the list.
Other Florida schools on the list include Rollins College in Winter Park (#12), and University of Florida (#7).
It’s unclear what criteria Inside College used to choose the schools on its list, which also include Miami University in Ohio. (Maybe all Miami-related schools made the cut?) But sadly, we’ve gotta take issue with this list, too. We love that the Canes beat out the Gators, of course, but what about the five schools ahead of us? University of Wisconsin? University of Vermont? Call us when Rick Ross makes it rain in Burlington, okay? Til then, we’ll be tanning on the beach while your beer freezes before you can drink it.
