$10,000

Oh, girl, hope you’re not getting your hair did soon, because Miami has experienced what we imagine must be one of the biggest hair care heists of all time.

Thieves struck a warehouse in West Kendall on Sunday night and wiped the business clean of $80,000 worth of fancy hair products.

The thieves targeted keratin products in particular. The products are imported from Brazil, and are a popular but pricey method to straighten hair. Bottles can retail for up to $300.

“We are the only ones that import QOD and Kerapremium brands. The bottles will retail anywhere from 200 to 300 dollars at the hair salons,” Claudia Gattoni, owner of the beauty supply warehouse, told NBCMiami. “It’s sold exclusively to hair salons.”

Gattoni thinks that the thieves knew exactly what they were doing as she had just received a new shipment of the stuff on Tuesday.

The burglars also knew what products to target. Most of Gattoni’s cheaper stock was left behind (so, don’t worry if you only use ratchet products, nobody bothers to steal that).

Gattoni now has to try and rebuild her business, and hopes that surveillance video caught the robbers on camera.
