With the Red Bull Flugtag application process underway, it’s likely a lot of you have already formed Justice League-style team lineups, brainstormed wacky theme ideas, and bought water wings for that inevitable plunge.

But if you’re not 100% sure about your chances yet, or burning questions about the competition are keeping you up at night, you’re in luck. Red Bull is hosting a Flugtag Q&A party at Blackbird Ordinary tonight, with free drinks and light bites, to boot.

According to the folks at Red Bull, the party is a recruiting shindig where people can come and ask questions before committing to an application.

Potential flyers can meet and mingle with some of the folks involved in the September 21 event, when teams will take to the skies and launch themselves off a 28-foot pedestal into the waters of Biscayne Bay. It will be wet, wild, and wacky.

This year is the first time five events will be held simultaneously in Miami, Chicago, Washington DC, Dallas, and Long Beach — so the stakes are higher than ever. And there are few things more impressive than Flugtag victory bragging rights.
