Despite working for a chain, chef Sean Bernal has always brought local authenticity to the Brickell outpost of the Oceanaire Seafood Room. But we found out via Facebook that Bernal has decided to move on from the restaurant. He wrote, “Today is a good day, my tenure as the executive chef of the Oceanaire is over. I quit today!! On to bigger and better things!!!”
What are the bigger and better things? We don’t know yet, but we’ll let you know. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: Bernal handed in his resignation yesterday but will continue to cook at the restaurant until July 11.
