The first five days of the week are the hardest… Well, at least you only have to endure four days of cubicle dust, paper cuts, and nosy coworkers this week!
And if that isn’t enough to put an encouraging smile on your face, maybe some of the shows going down this week, including Zedd’s ever-popular uhntz-uhntz and John Mayer’s sweet serenades will do it for you.

Break out of your shell, come out, and watch one of the original divas of Motown do her thang at the Hard Rock Live.

Tickets cost $25 plus fees via livenation.com. Zedd, your love may be our tragedy, but if your explosive EDM, which has fallen in the hands of Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, and other über pop stars is our remedy, then it can’t be that tragic now can it?
Black Flag. With Good For You. Saturday, September 7, 8 p.m., Grand Central, 697 North Miami Ave., Miami; 305-377-2277; grandcentralmiami.com. Tickets cost $22 plus fees via ticketfly.com. The California hardcore punk band has seen more break ups than a Hollywood couple since it entered the biz in 1976. More than 30 years later, Black Flag flies again in a fight “to prove its supremacy and purity among reunited punks.”
John Mayer. Born & Raised tour with Phil Phillips. Sunday, September 8, 7:30 p.m., Cruzan Amphitheatre, 601-7 Sansbury’s Way, West Palm Beach; 561-795-8883; cruzanamphitheatre.net. Tickets cost $30-$69 via livenation.com. John Mayer may not have scored high points on the “nice guy” card, but when the heartthrob used the Prancercise lady on his “Paper Doll” video, he kinda redeemed himself of former douchiness.
