Many people in Miami pronounce Winn-Dixie como Ween Deehee, but the supermarket chain is down with Latinos so they’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in our city by bringing in Food Network celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez to do some cooking demos.
Aarón stars in the show Chef vs. City, a food race across the U.S. alongside Chris Cosentino of Incanto and Boccalone in San Francisco.
Aarón is executive chef/owner of Paladar and Centrico in NYC, so we’re guessing the dude can cook.
Here, he will execute a Hispanic recipe and highlight a wine pairing for the dish. Our wild guess is they sell the ingredients and wine right there at Winn-Dixie.
