Here’s a scenario.
It’s lunchtime and you’re starving. There’s a place to grab a tuna sandwich nearby, but you’ve got a hankering for a rack of Uncle Tom’s Barbecue‘s ribs ($19.95) and some cool, crisp coleslaw. Problem is, you’re on a deadline and there’s absolutely no way you can leave the office.

You could offer to buy a co-worker lunch in a desperate “I’ll-buy-you-fly” attempt, or you could simply pick up the phone and call Uncle Tom’s for its new delivery service.
The newly reopened iconic barbecue joint just started delivery service. Your ribs and chicken will arrive at your doorstep in a tricked-out, rib-wrapped van. The delivery area is NW 27th to 57th avenues between NW Seventh Street and Bird Road. Co-owner Ariel Rodriguez tells Short Order: “It was always part of the plan to offer delivery within the area. Patrons have been calling and asking about it since we reopened, and now that our van is ready, it’s time to bring our delectable barbecue to offices and homes nearby.”
While you’re chomping on your half-rack of baby-backs, it’s also nice to know the restaurant is charitable. Rodriguez just completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, with 20 percent of today’s sales at the restaurant donated to the charity. Watch him get doused here:
