Critically acclaimed Yardbird Southern Table & Bar has earned props from yet another prestigious publication. Bon Appétit’s Andrew Knowlton has named his 50 Best New Restaurants of 2012, and Miami’s soul-food favorite made the cut.
In his writeup, Knowlton gives a nod to menu items including Mama’s chicken biscuits, char-grilled Guinea hen, and cheesy grits. He’s also a fan of Yardbird’s Friday-night Midnight Chef’s Table.
The honor is even greater considering Yardbird is Knowlton’s only Florida mention.
On August 14, Knowlton will narrow the list to his first annual “Hot 10” — including his pick for the number one new restaurant in the nation, so stay tuned.
