Curiously, LIV has become Miami Beach’s epicenter of irony.

A couple of weeks ago, the Miami Heat’s LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Shane Battier reveled in their 2012 championship win at the megaclub, just 375 days after the Mark Cuban-owned Dallas Mavericks bought out the bar to celebrate beating LeBron and company in the 2011 NBA Finals. And a few years ago, Joaquin Phoenix jumped off the glossy party spot’s stage and fought a dude for his mockumentary, I’m Still Here, after struggling to spit a few rap verses.

Still, the irony will reach another level this Wednesday when blog rap’s most peculiar crew, Three Loco, hits the Fontainebleau’s most popular club. Comprising Houston rapper Riff Raff, 36-year-old comedian Andy Milonakis, and former TV personality Simon “Dirt Nasty” Rex, Three Loco is a pseudo-celebrity supergroup.

All three men also happen to be MTV alumni: Riff Raff appeared on the network’s From G’s to Gents, Milonakis had his own MTV2 sketch comedy show, and after appearing in a few porn films, Rex was hired as a VJ in the mid-’90s. But the cable connection is only a coincidence. Rap music, not Music Television, brought this unlikely group together. And spitting rhymes about “getting bitches” by simply wearing a “blue tuxedo,” Three Loco’s absurdist lyrics are truly “Neato.”
