Taqueria Tacontento debuts its new tequila bar — Bar Agave.
Bar Agave features handcrafted tequila cocktails that utilize fresh fruit and natural purees, herbs and spices. No sweet crap here. They ix-nayed the sugar and their libations use exclusively agave nectar.
The spirit Tequila originates from the state of Jalisco, Mexico, around the town of Tequila and is exclusively made from the blue agave plant; agave syrup is the naturally sweet sap that comes from within the pina of the same plant. So, the name Bar Agave is befitting.
Taqueria Tacontento and Bar Agave invite neighbors, locals and commuters to give the tequila-based cocktails and snacks a whirl this Thursday, November 11 from 6 to 10 p.m. free. With Latin spirits becoming all the rage around town at locales like Mercadito, Sushi Samba, Talavera and the W’s Living Room, let’s hope Bar Agave’s mixing measures up against the rest of the tipplers. In the meantime, they are gratis, so we’ll have to go back to give them a fair shake.
