The LINK crew is back at the Space Techno Loft this Saturday night with special guest Oliver Koletzki, a Berlin-based DJ/producer with releases on the esteemed Cocoon and Stil Vor Talent labels. Koletzki is a veteran of the ’90s German breakdance and hip-hop scene
who delved into tech-house production in the 2000s and is additionally
involved in sound design and film scoring for the University of Arts in
Berlin.
In 2005 Koletzki scored a hit with “Der
Muckenschwarm”, a track released on Sven Vath’s Cocoon imprint and which was later hand-picked by Pete Tong for
his Essential Selection compilation and voted Best
Track in Groove Magazine’s Readers’ Poll. More recent releases, like 2009’s “Hyponotized”, the
first single from his highly-anticipated second album Grossestadtmarchen, reveal a nuanced melodic sensibility to match Koletzski’s mastery of proper dance
grooves. Join Oliver Koletzski at the Techno Loft on Saturday for a
night of slick upbeat tech-house, along with LINK resident DJs Maurizio &
Danzelino and Dsan Powell.
Oliver Koletzki at Space. Saturday, January 9. Doors open at 11 p.m. 34 NE 11 St., downtown Miami.
