DJ Lopera, part of Miami’s expat Colombian techno mafia, first
got exposed to electronic dance music as a student in Germany, which
makes it no surprise that he’s a great proponent of
the minimal sound. Having gained massive popularity in the early 2000’s
as a resident DJ in some of Colombia’s hottest clubs, he immigrated to
Miami in 2005 to partner up with Dsan Powell and the CDM Music label,
and has been spinning in support of different weekly techno parties at
Space, Nocturnal and the former Pawnshop. You can hear Lopera live at
