Need some chill time? Maybe two days worth?
Lucky for you, it’s almost time for Coral Gables’ annual Carnaval on the Mile, the most chillaxed music fest in the MIA.
“We try to keep it upbeat,” co-festival director Carlos Garcia recently told Crossfade. “You won’t see a lot punk or hard rock or anything like that at these kinds of shows, but you’ll see some really fun acts that keep a nice up-tempo feel.”
So go drink and dance in the streets (namely Le Jeune, Ponce de Leon, and Douglas) for two straight days with Israel’s Asaf Avidan, NYC’s Black Violin and Pedrito Martinez, as well as Brooklyn’s Red Baraat, Atlanta’s Stokeswood, and killer locals like Suenalo, Locos Por Juana, Palo!, Problem Kids, Spam Allstars, and ArtOfficial.
Just check the cut for Carnaval on the Mile 2014’s full lineup and set times.
