$7,500

Among the ever-growing number of satellite art fairs, Pulse Miami stands out for its high concentration of contemporary photography — a much-missed medium since Photo Miami was canceled in 2010. It’s also housed in a kick-ass venue, Ice Palace (1400 N. Miami Ave., Miami), where the hammocks outside are almost as worthwhile as the artwork inside. Pulse opens Thursday at 1 p.m. and closes Sunday. Admission costs $10 to $20. Visit pulse-art.com.

Dec. 1-4, 1 p.m., 2011
