Ace Hood’s career is the stuff of rap legend. A few years ago, the Broward boy handed a demo to 99 Jamz’s DJ Khaled in the hopes of performing at his birthday bash. Soon enough, he was the first artist to be signed to Khaled’s We the Best label, distributed through Def Jam Records. That encounter resulted in Hood’s Gutta, featuring Auto-Tune master T-Pain and the Miami badass with the biggest beard in rap, Rick Ross.
This Thursday’s exclusive album-release party for Blood, Sweat & Tears is guaranteed to be all swag and stilettos. Officially dropping August 9, the LP features a big track and future classic “Hustle Hard,” which Hood performed live with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and DJ Khaled at the 2011 BET Awards show. An impressive collection of rap’s finest, Ace’s new slab is totally deserving of a raucous South Beach blowout.
