Tropical storm Isaac is barreling toward the Florida Keys and you only have to look outside your window to see that feeder bands are already affecting Miami-Dade.

Before you head out to a store, restaurant, or bar we suggest calling them ahead of time to make sure they're open.

Some events (especially outdoor ones) like food truck roundups and even Zoo Miami are closed today.

Some restaurants and bars vow to stay open, acting as a port in a storm.

We've complied a list of events that have been postponed and restaurants that are staying open. Because of the storm, we do not guaranty its accuracy. We'll update this list all day as we receive more information. Make sure to follow @Short_Order on Twitter and Facebook for updates.

Staying Open


All Pasha's restaurants are open today -- but will close at 4 p.m. Aventura Mall will stay open until 8 p.m. today.

Zuma is open.

Norman's Tavern is open and serving up grub and brewskis.

Lokal Burgers & Beer is open today. Beer and a burger beckons.

The Dolphin Mall and every restaurant in it remains open today.

Fado Irish Pub in Brickell is hoisting pints to Isaac - they're open.

Salt Life Food Shack in Coral Springs is open.

Bourbon Steak will be open for dinner tonight.

Sugarcane is open. Chef Timon is heating up the Robata for your dining pleasure.

Harry's Pizzeria is open - but will close at 3 p.m. today. Business as usual tomorrow (Monday).

Latin House Burger and Taco Bar
opens today at noon with half-off beer specials for Isaac.

Cuban Guys is open for frita fans today. According to the restaurant manager, the restaurant plans to stay open until about 6 p.m.. They're watching the weather and will act accordingly.

The Meatball Joint is open for dine-in service and delivery (call 305-695-9441 for delivery range and info).

Route 9
and Exit 1 will stay open today.

In fact, Exit 1 in Key Biscayne has a generator, so they'll serve even

if the power goes out.

Blue Collar's Danny Serfer tells us that

he's got plenty of beer and wine and an indoor grill and gas ranges for

making hot food so his restaurant is staying open. Free hot coffee or tea to anyone who braves the storm.

Lou's Beer

Garden may have postponed their cookoff, but they're still open - in

fact they're having a hurricane party featuring Category 1,2, & 3

Hurricanes.

Chow Down Grill is open tonight late until 5 am. Just in case you want to ride out the storm with friends and good food.

Gigi will remain open today.

WOB in Dadeland is open and serving.

Balans on Biscayne will remain open until 3 p.m. today.

GreenStreet Cafe is open today.

Morgans Miami is open today.

Georgia's Union is open today.

Juvia will be open for brunch today, call to see if they remain open for dinner.

Cheeseburger Baby is open "rain, shine, hurricane, earthquake, Xmas, and  Kwanza".

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink is open for brunch -- inside seating only -- beginning at 11 a.m. Michael's is closing at 3 p.m. today.

Publix, Fresh Market, Whole Foods, Winn Dixie, Milams -- are all open normal business hours today (pending weather).

Wal-Mart and Home Depot will stay open today during normal business hours.

Event Cancellations

The

Frieze celebration with Chris Bosh, scheduled for today, has been

postponed. The City of Miami Beach has shut down all special events due

to the tropical storm.

Sonic Beach's celebration in Homestead has been rescheduled for next Saturday, September 1.

The Third Annual Micro-Brew Cookoff at Lou's Beer Garden has been rescheduled for September 16.

Sayonara Summer at Sweat Records, scheduled for today, has been postponed.

Pinecrest Gardens -- and the weekly green market -- are closed Sunday.

Restaurant Closings Due To Isaac

The Federal is closed today. "This hairy weather's not made for brunchin'.".

Clarabelle's Cupcakes closed today (sunday) and tomorrow (Monday).

Josh's Delicatessen and Appetizing just lost power and was forced to close.

Pasha's restaurants will close at 4 p.m. except for Aventura Mall (which will close at 8 p.m.) today (Sunday).

Harrys Pizzeria and Michael's Genuine Food & Drink will close today (Sunday) at 3 p.m.

The Shops at Sunset and all restaurants in it are closed Sunday due to Isaac.

Cheesecake Factory in Coconut Grove is closed Sunday, due to the storm.

Panther Coffee is closed Sunday, due to the storm

JimmyZ Kitchen Wynwood is closed Sunday, due to the storm.

Marlie's Delights food truck will not operate today.

Other Major Closings


Redland Fruit & Spice Park is closed Sunday.

Zoo Miami is closed Sunday.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens is closed Sunday

Vizcaya is closed Sunday.

All Miami-Dade parks are closed Sunday.

Miami-Dade libraries are closed Sunday.

Miami Seaquarium is closed Sunday.
